About me

I am Hanna Gáll, the founder of GLDN DYS (golden days).

I started pottery in the summer of 2022 when I had just moved home from the USA and my idea was to apply my painting style to everyday objects instead of canvas.

I learned to make ceramics on my own and visited a lovely retired ceramicist in Hűvösvölgy every week for a year to receive mentoring.

I think we can be inspired by a lot of things. Personally, I draw a lot from travel and different cultural experiences, but clothing, nature, furniture, or food often inspire the idea for my objects.

My motivation is to maintain the playfulness of my pieces and not let technical rules take away the element of experimentation and freedom in making my objects.

I think my style is mainly influenced by my travels abroad. I like to play around with putting together slightly more eclectic colors and shapes so that things still fit together in my head and convey a sense of life.
